Grand Jury Prize – Narrative Feature Competition

Grand Jury Prize – Documentary Feature Competition

Grand Jury Prize – Texas Competition Presented By Panavision
Awarded a Panavision camera package rental worth $30,000

Grand Jury Prize – Short Film
Awarded to a film in the Shorts Competition, as selected by the Shorts Jury.

Grand Jury Prize – Animated Short Presented By REEL FX
The Grand Jury Prize is awarded to the film in the Animation Competition as selected by a panel of REEL FX jurors along with the 2015 Texas Avery Animation Award recipient.

Grand Jury Prize – Student Short Film
Awarded to a film in the Student Competition, as selected by the Student Jury.

AUDIENCE AWARDS


Presented by Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation with Sheri Deterling and Geoff Hawkes
Audience members cast ballots for best Narrative Feature, Documentary and Short Film after screenings.

    Narrative Feature Audience Award—$3,500
    Documentary Feature Audience Award—$3,500
    Short Film Audience Award—$3,000

SILVER HEART AWARD


The Silver Heart Award is bestowed on an individual or film for their dedication to fighting injustices and/or creating social change for the improvement of humanity. The winner of the Silver Heart Award will receive a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of the Embrey Family Foundation.

MOVIE MAGIC PRIZES


The recipients of the 2015 DIFF awards will receive MOVIE MAGIC Budgeting and Scheduling software bundles from Entertainment Partners.

DALLAS STAR AWARDS

L.M. Kit Carson (Posthumously)
Lone Star State legend and influential writer, actor and producer Carson first gained recognition as creator of the mockumentary, DAVID HOLZMAN’s DIARY (1968), and co-wrote PARIS, TEXAS (1984).

Blythe Danner
Danner is well regarded for her roles in films such as MEET THE PARENTS and THE GREAT SANTINI. The Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-nominated actress is alos know for her work on television shows such as Will & Grace and Huff.

John Landis
A director for more than 40 years, Landis' films include NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE (1980), THE BLUES BROTHERS (1978) and AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON (1981).

Phil Lord and Chris Miller
are the prolific writing and directing duo behind some of today’s most successful comedy films including, THE LEGO MOVIE, 21 & 22 JUMP STREET and CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS.
