It’s Opening Night at the Majestic Theatre!
Join us tonight at the historical Majestic Theatre in Downtown Dallas as the 2015 Dallas International Film Festival, presented by AutoNation, kicks off 11 days of films, panels, Q&As, parties and more with a special screening of I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS, starring Blythe Danner and Martin Starr.
Presented by U.S. Risk with support from Mary Kay, and Dallas Downtown Inc. the Festival’s Opening Night Celebration starts at 6 p.m. with a star-studded Red Carpet featuring DIFF filmmakers, talent, celebrities and other notable Dallas figures. Immediately following the 7 p.m. screening of I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS Bobbie Wygant will moderate a Q&A with director Brett Haley and lead actress Blythe Danner who will also be honored as one of the 2015 Dallas Star Award recipients.
Afterward, head over to The Pads at the Aloft Hotel for DIFF’s Opening Night Party including musical entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments from our sponsors!*

Lone Star State legend and influential writer, actor and producer Carson first gained recognition as creator of the mockumentary, DAVID HOLZMAN’s DIARY (1968), and co-wrote PARIS, TEXAS (1984).
Danner is well regarded for her roles in films such as MEET THE PARENTS and THE GREAT SANTINI. The Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-nominated actress is alos know for her work on television shows such as Will & Grace and Huff.
A director for more than 40 years, Landis' films include NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE (1980), THE BLUES BROTHERS (1978) and AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON (1981).
